Salta was founded in 2007 by Brian Moody, Erika Lucero, and Steve Bis with the purpose to provide the best possible Audi and VW service available. Meet the Salta Service and Performance team below.
BRIAN MOODY
A Colorado native with an obsession of all things mechanical, especially cars, Brian spent his childhood years building and modifying early era Volkswagens for the sole purpose of hammering down the dirt roads that he grew up around. These aspects of Brian’s character haven’t really changed too much, only that his knowledge and ability have grown substantially since then. He still builds and races cars, but the builds are immaculate in all their refinement, and the races are not only legitimate, but renowned for their difficulty. In 2005, Brian accomplished one of his many ambitious goals by winning the Pike’s Peak Open division of the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb in an Audi A4 that he built. Brian is currently devising a plan and training for his next big goal, which is to race in the Dakar Rally on a motorcycle. There is no doubt whatsoever that he will accomplish this.

ERIKA LUCERO
A champion co-driver forced into retirement by an injury sustained while racing, Erika maintains her love and involvement in motor sports as a logistics coordinator and team manager for U.S. and International Rally teams. Always making a point to perpetuate her involvement in the racing community, Erika worked as a parts specialist at Colorado’s largest power sports dealer, an events coordinator at a karting facility, and finally, a service writer for an Audi service facility. Erika would eventually become a partner, service manager and the business end of Salta. Having a vast knowledge of Audi’s and Volkswagens, amassed through years of experience, she has developed a more personal way of relating to and educating her customers about their cars. Although her official racing days are over, Erika still enjoys organizing, servicing or spectating a good race.

2001-2004- Co-driver for various drivers, mostly Sports Car Club of America, Rally America and Colorado Hill Climb Association single events.

On par to win the 2004 championship season in the Colorado Hill Climb Association, Erika was airlifted from the scene of a racing accident that would mark the end of her racing career
inside the car.

STEVE BIS
Steve Bis spent his formative years working in a bicycle shop and racing downhill and trials bikes. As soon as he got his driver’s license, Steve would make the transition from bikes to cars, focusing his efforts in learning everything there was to know about the mechanics of foreign cars. His auto racing experience also began at a young age, at sixteen Steve was already working with the Jaguar vintage racing team as a race technician, and he would later go on to successfully race rally cross, motocross and rally. Steve’s patience and ability to absorb as much technical information as he could get his hands on would not be wasted, and by the time he was eighteen, Steve began his career as an Audi specialist, and he has continued his mastery for the past nine years. Currently, Steve has been racing his dirt bike in the Berthoud Enduro Championship and is well on his way to a great season.
